OK... another great car collection. This one belongs to Gordon Gimbel. He is another a super nice guy, and he owns some wicked iron. He races everything he owns too.
Here is a shot showing two great cars. The car closest to the camera is a Trans Am Mustang identical to what Tom Kendal drove to several Trans Am championships. The #83 car is a real 1969 BOSS 302. It's been a race car it's entire life.

The late model Trans Am Mustang. It has a built 351 stroker motor, a full tube chasis, and is a no joke race car.

The interior of the car is amazingly comfortable, and all business. I was lucky enough to sit in it.

Not much room for groceries back here

The #83 BOSS 302 Trans Am race car. Gordan had the trans, and rear gears, out to freshen them up for an upcoming race. Hot Wheels even made a little model car of this beast. Bruce and I spotted one in a hobby shop while in Sacramento.

Gorden's most recent addition.. a Bondurant school car. It's got a TON of road race mods.

Two of Gordon's cars are currently sitting in a display at the Towe Auto Museum. He races both the GT350 and the Cobra.
His 289 USRRC race Cobra

And stored in the rafters of his shop... a complete, new, 1966, front and rear aluminum body for his 289 race Cobra. He calls this his insurance policy should he crash the Cobra. The body alone is worth a TON. This is not a new alum body either. It was made in 1966.
