MCA Western National Mustang Show is coming to Van Nuys......August 27-30 2009....Limit to 300 Mustangs......Airtel Hotel at Van Nuys Airport off Sherman Way just west of Woodley Ave.....Looks like your Mustang gets judged by a panel of judges.....Never been to one of these.....I work around the corner from this site....Reading the show flyer if you get your Mustang judged, it must be on display on Sunday or you get disqualified, so its a two day event.....For me I'll get my car classified on Friday after work, go home...Come back on Saturday, get it judged, go home...Then come back on Sunday and display......Oh boy........Go to http://www.mustangownersofca.org for classes and info....I was told I should enter in Occasionally Driven class......I aksed if I could do daily driver class but my mileage would be a dead giveaway that its not........

Got my confirmation on this show couple weeks ago....#194 out of 300 entrants.......Still time to enter......

Well....Went to this event and got Gold for my class.......But talk about embarrassing........Only 120 Mustangs were entered........Yes it was hot.........But since the host club seems be in a time warp, that probably why the entrants was so low......For a National show and being in car crazy So-Cal, it was disappointing.......I went by Valley Circle before heading to show that Sunday and there was probably 40 Mustangs there from All Ford and Mustang Club and Wicked Stangs......Yes Julie I saw your car there.......You had judges that came from across the nation to be at this show........I had my car judged by a guy from the state of Washington and he even stated what a joke the show was......Oh well, it was neat having the car judged and hanging in the shade with some fellow Bullittheads from across the nation.....
