I've been watching the connection log for issues and noticed that some are having challenges with their password. I ran into the same issue with a test user ID. Of the many members logging in each day, only one or two over the last week have had the problem; I've sent them an email. We're working on the problem and will get it resolved as quickly as possible.

Something Funky is still going on. Both yesterday and today it took me multiple log in attempts to finally make it "stick". Sometimes it would show logged in, then boot me out when I went to view a certain area or respond with a post of my own.

Took four or five tries this morning. But at the moment, I am in.

Hmm... you and Tetge are the only ones I've heard that from for a long time. We're in the process of testing vbulletin's latest release. Was planning to upgrade in the next couple of weeks but, if I can't fix the password issue you are having, I'll push the upgrade schedule. If anyone else is having password problems, please click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the screen and provide your user ID so we can check further into this.

I just noticed that in IE, screen formatting is off a bit and I too had a problem staying logged-in. However, Firefox seems to be ok. I know that the latest release of vbulletin includes several fixes for IE problems. I'll have to step-up on my testing to get the upgrade done.

My apologies for the inconvenience!

Yeah, I am using IE, not Firefox anymore. I wasn't aware that Tetge was also having issues.

Odd, it seems if I hit the "remember me" option, I can re-visit without issues. If I log in and out each time, it hiccups.

I just fixed something that was messing-up the IE formatting. Can you try to recreate the problem with the password.

Seems to be doing better! I will try a couple times and see if it is consistent.

On another note,

I like to just hit the "New Posts" button to refresh the pages repeatedly during a visit, rather than scrolling though all the pages. This was more efficient for me, especially when things get very active, and I am watching multiple hot topic threads such as when I was moderating for another board.

However, on this format, I find that if I respond to a thread, it disappears from the list and only shows those that I have not made posts in. If I log out and come back, then it shows all "new posts" again.

Is that an internal setting situation (on my end, or yours), or does it only consider them "new" if I have logged out?

The earlier versions of VBulletin seemed to allow this (?) Or is there some other trick or option that I am just not familiar with on this upgraded version?

Know what I am talking about?

Yup... post another msg and try the "What's New" button or New Posts... It should work now.

**update** I lied ;) I'll check the other settings and see if I can find it.

Yeah, still only lists as "new" if someone else posts after I do.

Perhaps it thinks I am intelligent enough to know where I posted last?

I'm gonna have to dig into this on the support forum... I didn't find anything in the settings to show self posts in the new posts search. However, it now shows other posts instantly and I turned off caching so we can see changes made instantly as well... just not our own posts :(
