Ray (ShelbyXX) is a WCGearhead member and works with GMS. Ray does custom tuning and other mods. He will be at this event to answer questions. I'll let Ray bring everyone up to speed on what this GMS event is about and how he is involved.

For those of you who are interested here is the 411...I am originally from the east coast and have had shops since the late 80's. I have only been in SoCal for the last 5 months or so. I have over 12years seat time on a chassis dyno for cars and 7 years for motorcycles. I have tuned thousands of cars / motorcycles with power adders. My shops have been known for custom buildups, product testing for manufacturers, and building manufacturers display cars. We have title sponsored Fun Ford Weekends and also Pinks All Out events. Our cars have been displayed at SEMA (east & west) for the last 6 years. We participate in drag racing, road racing, ralley's, truck pulling and even sponsored the Bad Habit monster truck that ran the Monster Jam series for the last 2 years. One of our most famous buildups was "Tangerine", a twin turbo'd, direct port injected 07 GT that made 1243rwhp on a Mustang Dyno and got 27mpg on the highway. It has been featured in over 80 magazines around the world bewteen 07-09. I have wanted to move my shops out here for the last 10 years because here you guys were lucky enough to have nice weather all year around and we were blessed with snow, rain and grey days for 6 months out of the year. I am still in the process of moving everything but I am currently working with Granatelli Motorsports and I put this event together for them along with help from GMS staff in hopes of having a day of fun with alot of manufacturers coming to the table with give aways etc. I hope we can get the word out to as many people as possible as we think this event is one of a kind for the area and we would like to be able to do more of these in the future. Thank you.

This years event will be nothing like last years. Last years was pretty basic and focused on the dyno. This year we contacted alot of manufacturers to contribute product and are expanding the car show aspect along with more things for people to do. Here are some things the flier doesn't show because of space... you will be able to buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win the following: F.A.S.T. wideband kit, B&M shifter, XRP gift certificate from Coast Driveline, Master suspension kit from Energy Suspension, $50 gift certificate for Jegs, $100 CASH for the hottest Mustang along with a trophy from Legend Mustangs out of Georgia which they will have a booth here as well, Axle back exhaust from MAC along with a few other MAC products, combined product buckets from Mothers - Mechanix Wear gloves - Mickey Thompson - Redline Oil - NOS energy drink - car polisher, case of oil and misc donated by Oxnard Auto Supply - and even a gift certificate from LiLi's Spa for a massage! But there is more....gift certificates from ARP $100, H&H Rims, Ari's garage, Rigo's Auto, Matco tools, AV Tire, Peacocks Records, Jersey Mike's, Turbonetics, Fidanza, trivia throughout the day with give-aways handled by the DJ,and more. I haven't been to an event out here yet that offers all of this plus a guaranteed good time with a family atmostphere.

I registered!

I registered for the car show, but haven't gotten an e-mail yet. Do you get an e-mail for the car show or is it just for the dyno?

Eric B.

Mine was in response to the dyno.

I'm pretty sure it's just the dyno since pull time is limited. Ray mentioned to me that we can register for the car show on that morning.
