As a participate and spectator of many car shows one of the areas that many time is overlooked is the engine compartment. I’m sure you been to many car shows and witnessed a car win first place just because of a fancy paint job but the hood was never opened, a shame but true. The car show scene varies from state to state. On the east cost if your hood is not open your car will not even be considered for voting. The judges will pass you by without taking a second look at your car no matter how sharp the paint job. In California the standards are not very high, dirty engines, oil stains, water spots, dirty air filters and closed hoods are very common. Attention to detail is lacking. When you get down to it your engine can be the focus of your Hotrod. Your engine bay has countless components hoses, clamps, air filters, pumps, valve covers, fuse boxes and a assortment of other parts. There is no need to overlook the potential that your engine has when it comes to dressing it up. A nicely detailed engine will make people stop and stare.
For the late model Ford Mustangs one product that was missing for the Mustang GT and Shelby GT 500 was a engine dress-up accessory that would bring some color and highlight the engine bay and also hide some unsightly wires. In August of 2009 Bangastang.com released our one piece Radiator Cover for the Shelby GT500. GT500 owners did not have a engine dress up product that truly added some pop to their 5.4 supercharged engine. Our GT500 Radiator Cover is made from high temp fiberglass resin, mounts in existing holes and comes painted to match your Shelby GT500 and we even include painted stripes. We supply satin billet hardware to attach our Radiator Cover. The stripes are painted on and are the same dimensions as the stock stripes on the ‘07-’09 GT500. Now unlike some fiberglass on the market our Radiator Covers are not patched, poorly cut or wavy. Our fiberglass builder worked in the aviation industry for many years building FAA approved parts for several aircrafts. Tight tolerances and precision measurements go into all of our fiberglass products including our GT500 Radiator Covers. All of our products are professionally painted which includes clear coating, wet sanding and hand buffing. Also you can’t feel the edge of the stripe on our GT500 Radiator Covers.
For you ‘07-’09 Shelby GT500 owner that really wants something special for their Shelby that will make people talk at the car show check out our selection of Radiator Covers. We also offer a Radiator Cover for the 2005-2009 Mustang GT as well.
All of our Radiator Covers are custom made upon order, we don’t want to be a fast food chain we like to take our time and get it right, it is a custom made part. Turnaround time is 3-6 weeks however turnaround time can vary depending on demand. We understand you need it this weekend for a car show but we pride ourselves on doing a good job.
