On Saturday, October 16 the Montalvo Square in Ventura had a Family Fun Day. Sponsored by Cumulous Radio and Paradise Chevrolet, the event drew hundreds of fun-seeking spectators. A car show was included, organized by Skeeter Radar and the Big City Boys. Approximately 50 immaculate classic cars showed up for the special event. Overcast skies and the threat of rain did not hold off car buffs from coming and seeing hot cars and voting on their favorites.





Business was brisk at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf all morning. As lunchtime approached, the crowds made their way to either Fatburger, Daphne's Greek Cafe, El Pollo Loco, Quizno's or Panda Express.

After lunch KHAY DJ's raffled off donated prizes to lucky participants. A grand prize $1000 shopping spree to Montalvo Center was the last raffle. Awards for the top three cars were given out as well as an award for spectator favorite. Oh, did I mention that Dracula was wandering around? A local high school band then played tunes for the public as the cars left the lot.

Montalvo Center is hoping to hold more events such as this one in the future.
