Article and Photos by: Glenn Eldridge

      Hey GearHeads -

After a great week at SEMA and full day at the Optima Invitational, we have a tons of notes, photos, manufacturer info, product info, interviews, and press releases so it's gonna take some time to get the articles ready for our new online magazine due out in December. In the meantime, check out these photos. Keep checking back, we'll put more up in the next few days.

The flight... eh, drive out to Vegas was smooth sailing; no traffic or other issues. Got in late Sunday night and was ready to roll Monday morning. SEMA opened the doors to the main halls on Tuesday but, those clever enough to show-up on Monday were treated to a Mustang drifting exhibit and an off-road performance course featuring the Raptor, courtesy of Ford.

On display outside of the main halls were a couple hundred awesome track, show, and off-road vehicles that would knock your socks off. Most of these cars were built to show at SEMA, while some were specifically designed to compete in the Optima Battery Invitational to be held the day after SEMA.

From the outside, you can see lots of people, cars, and manufacturer's exhibits

In the back, there was another 50+ cars & trucks on display

We found these Shelby GT350 and GT500 prototypes parked behind all the trucks.
They must've just pulled into the SEMA show area at the last minute, they hadn't been detailed yet.

Inside, the first stop was the new products area.

Here area few photos from the New Products Area.
I will add photos from Vortech, Dynacorn, and Willwood.

Helwig also brought new products to display

Here's a look from the FORD exhibit area, which was up a few steps allowing a nice shot of the exhibit floor.

In the next day or two, we'll post up photos from the APPEX show,
      videos with cool new products,
lots of photos of the awesome cars on display,
and the Optima Battery Invitational Rally and Performance Challenge.

We'll circle back later and post up details of what we saw and learned.
