Alex Rogeo, aka Alex the Car Girl, topped a tough field in the first win of her rookie season in the West Coast Hot Rod Association's "Shootout at Sundown" race at Auto Club Famoso Raceway. The EZ-Detailing.com Dodge Magnum claimed the victory in the Sportsman class with solid dial-ins and consistently good reaction times.

"I'm so excited and so grateful," Alex said, "we've come so far in just five months it's hard to believe. We learned a lot about racing the team EZ Detailing Dodge Magnum in the heat last week in Las Vegas. My crew chief, Richard Kratz, really nailed the setup and dial-ins for this car this weekend and I had the confidence to just trust the dial and run her hard all the way through the lights in qualifying, eliminations and the race today."

According to Richard, "Alex has worked really hard on finding the launch combination on this car and it really all came together this weekend, she was just in the zone all weekend. She won two of the four races today on the starting line."

Alex went on to say, "This team's philosophy is that the best way to win is cut a good light and run your dial each run, a simple idea, but hard to carry through. It feels so good to reward our sponsors, EZ Detailing, MoparMax Magazine, DC Performance, Nitrous Express, and Mechanix Wear with this win and pay back the confidence and support that they've shown in us."
