2011 was a rough year for me... after every car event (a few a month), my knee would swell and I wouldn't be able to walk for a few days. Mid-year, I was sent to physical therapy, but that didn't help. After procrastinating, I finally asked the doc for an MRI, that showed a torn meniscus which was fixed yesterday and now I'm recovering. . Crap - I first started feeling the pain at the gym a year ago.

• The bad news, I'll be a bit slow during the holidays. And need to another surgery this March or April to fix something else that I broke at the gym.
• The good news, I plan to be poppin' the clutch in January with some new ideas and some getting some work done on the website. We're also planning some GearHead events in SoCal that we think you'll like.

In the last couple of years, we've been focused on building the site with reader info and Events. In 2012, we want to build the GearHead community with discussion and will be looking for magazine articles. If you have something to share, sign-in and tell us about your latest auto, truck, bike, boat, or other GearHead type project.

We're also looking for feedback... how would you like to see this website grow... what ideas do you have? You can leave feedback on this blog or start a thread in the forum section.
