Our hats are off for two dealers that are taking advantage of the potential of the new Camaro. Both DeNooyer Chevrolet in New York and NeSmith Chevrolet of Georgia offer their own version of some high-horsepower bow-ties!

An interesting note - DeNooyer partnered with Redline Motorsports to build the HTR-SS454 and displayed the orange Camaro (see catalog cover) at PRI. It was dressed with Retro USA iconic shark gills (Quarter Moldings CA1QM-A). Take a look at this press release from GM for details on the specs.

If you bought Ford stock when it was below $2.00 a couple of years ago, you obviously made a wise decision, Ford (F) stock closed at $18.70 today. despite the economy woes Ford stock has almost doubled in the past 52-weeks. So when a company does so well, what do they do? Why not pump $400 million back into a manufacturing plant to keep 3,750 employees on the factory line. The Kansas City plant is one of four assembly facilities that Ford is retooling in preparation for new Ford vehicles. Nice work Ford!

Glenn and I joined the Tri-County Mustang club in the 2010 Camarillo Christmas Parade in sunny Southern California. Nine members showed up with sparkling clean Mustangs ready to roll down Las Posas Road in Camarillo. TCMC members have quite a few classic Mustangs but, to balance things out, there were a few bad boys in the mix. A nice selection of Mustangs, lots of Christmas decorations! It looked pretty cool going down the street and the the thousands that lined the streets loved the show!

The parade started at 11am with a fly-over of 2 vintage fighter planes. There were lots of other types of vehicles featured in the parade this year. Model A's, Thunderbirds, Volkswagen Beetles, Mustangs, two 4x4 clubs, movie Star Cars, Corvettes, and fire equipment!

      Hey GearHeads -

After a great week at SEMA and full day at the Optima Invitational, we have a tons of notes, photos, manufacturer info, product info, interviews, and press releases so it's gonna take some time to get the articles ready for our new online magazine due out in December. In the meantime, check out these photos. Keep checking back, we'll put more up in the next few days.

The flight... eh, drive out to Vegas was smooth sailing; no traffic or other issues. Got in late Sunday night and was ready to roll Monday morning. SEMA opened the doors to the main halls on Tuesday but, those clever enough to show-up on Monday were treated to a Mustang drifting exhibit and an off-road performance course featuring the Raptor, courtesy of Ford.

A car show was included, organized by Skeeter Radar and the Big City Boys. Approximately 50 immaculate classic cars showed up for the special event. Overcast skies and the threat of rain did not hold off car buffs from coming and seeing hot cars and voting on their favorites.
