Recap of the ATRA 1st Annual Car Show

Where were you on Sept 10th, 2011? If you weren't at the ATRA Car Show at DCH Honda in the Oxnard Auto Mall, you missed a nice show. Thanks to Donny Caccamise for organizing the event and sponsors ATRA and DCH Honda of Oxnard, we were pleasantly surrounded by incredibly well done Classics, Hot Rods, Muscle cars, and motorcycles.

In a little town about 60 miles North of Los Angeles, Calif. called Saticoy, we found some folks with classic cars hangin'-out, eating good food, and listening to a cool 60's, 70's, 80's live band. These guys get together on the 2nd Friday evening of each Summer month (through Oct).

Check out the photos of these cars and consider cruisin' over for a relaxing evening this Friday, Sept 9th. CLICK HERE for event info and an interactive map. The West Coast GearHeads crew will be there takin' photos and spending some time chattin' with all the Gearheads.

The Coachmen are known for organizing nice car events and the Island's Restaurant Cruise is no exception. The Coachmen greet you as you drive in, hand you a discount to one of the local restaurants including Island's, and even give you a free raffle ticket. How cool is that! Newbury Park weather is perfect for breakin' the car out and meeting-up with a couple hundred local classics and Hot-Rods. Be sure bring the car to the Coachmen's last Island's Cruise event of 2011 on October 1st.
The West Coast GearHead crew were at the event taking photos and talking shop - with probably a bit more talking then workin' the camera. We always run into some cool people at car meets like this. Donny Caccamise, the host of Horsepower for an Hour was at the meet checking out all the cool classics. Donny will be broadcasting live at ATRA's 1st Annual Car Show at DCH Honda in Oxnard. This is a great location for a car show, right in the Oxnard Auto Center. DCH Honda made a large lot available to the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA), who are hosting a FREE Car Show. ATRA will be giving away tons of trophies and raffle prizes. Mark your calendars and check this one out.
