Updates to the truck

traded the lightning tails for stockers, got a bed extender...and my wife got me a toy that matches the truck LOL




also the air filter needed replacing, so I got a JLP ram air kit for it.

Got some pretty major updates this weekend


So the truck spat out a spark plug back in July, finally got it back on Friday, had lots of stuff done during this time...

Note the nice matching lower grill that wasn't properly installed, just zip-tied onto the stock lower grill, it rattled around and put huge gauges into the bumper cover
Also the underside of the bumper had a lot of rash from I can only assume parking lot incidents, though I've never come close to scrapping it on anything?

Truck was broken into by punching out the door lock


Anyways, had the front bumper, grill/headlight surround, and the fender flare repainted, and a new door handle and door lock installed.

She came back looking like it just rolled out of the dealer!







Oh ya and the motor
New head, Stiegemier stage IV complete port package with front drive rebuild, rotors stripped, and stock plenum and throttle body ported and gasket matched.

Now I need to do something about the exhaust, probably will be ordering some OBX stainless longtubes and midpipes this week, already ordered an SCT BA-2600 MAF and SCT x-cal, need to decide on and order a wideband, slap on the smaller blower pully to take advantage of the port then will be tuning it.

Got the headers in, they're beautiful and a fairly easy install.











The collectors tuck up a solid 2" above the frame rail sides so externally the truck still looks stock

Still have this to deal with connecting the mid pipe from the new header system to the stock catback (Which is also 2.5" stainless steel, just not polished) -


so I picked up a 2.5" stainless steel X pipe section that I'll be installing this week hopefully if I can figure out how to cut the stock catback above that crossbrace which is revited to the frame, I should be able to pull the catback off the hangers to get it to a spot where I can make the cut though.


while I had those heavy ___ 100lb 20x9 wheels off the front of the truck I tried out something new recommended by the harley boards on the wheels, and they weren't lying, the backs of the wheels are chrome too! Hah, I had trouble picking them up afterwards they came out so shiny.




I got the innovate LC-1/G2 gauge wideband a/f installed also but I didn't take any pictures of it yet, seems like a very high quality kit so far.

thanks and ya I have a problem, even the tahoe in my sig listed as stock has a torsion bar crank lift, larger than stock tires, a hypertech programmer, underdrive pulley's, an electric fan and an alpine media less ipod/mp3 player stereo lol

Kevin, the truck looks beautiful and it does look showroom fresh now! You have done a wonderful job! Thanks for all the updates and how-to's you have shown us. Oh and the wheels being chrome in the inside as well as outside is AWESOME!
