The morning of January 30th started out cloudy and dark in the wee early hours. A group of us met at Johnny Rockets in Camarillo and cruised to Supercar Sunday in the San Fernando Valley, CA and had hoped the rain would hold off until that evening. Our wish almost came true! Unfortunately, around 9am the rain started coming down and cars ripped out of the parking lot like a herd of wild animals... Summer can't get here fast enough for us car folk!
Just over 400 cars cruised-in for this event, which is held in the Westfield Promenade Mall every Sunday and we snagged a photos of most of them. Unfortunately we missed about 30 cars in the last row, because of the rain. The meet is organized by Dustin Troyan, which is has become quite a popular place to be on Sunday mornings, especially the last Sunday which is considered the main event. We frequently organized cruises from Ventura County down to SuperCar Sunday, when it was held at the Village Coffee Roaster on Valley Circle Dr for years. In 2010, Dustin moved the event to the Westfield Mall, which provides for a lot more space.
Dustin is also the organizer of Motor4Toys, which collects over 25,000 new toys for unfortunate children at Christmas time. SuperCar Sunday has many sponsors to make this car meet a reality. We heartily thank Dustin, the sponsors, and mall management for organizing these great events! Checkout SuperCarSunday.com and Motor4Toys.com for more information
We took a ton of photos and a couple of videos. Check back over the next couple of days as we add more.
