Hello everyone,
The show is just a few days away

We want you to respond with ideas. Please register and log in first to allow you access to post a message.

The club volunteer process is how the show functions, without you the show can’t exist so, your time is greatly appreciated. The show council is made up of representatives from over 40 Ford Car Clubs, I represent our club – All Mustangs and Fords Club of So Cal. Some of the names on our volunteer list have been bag stuffing and parking for a long time and know the process well. For those new to the volunteer team, we’ve got your back…

Some important notes:
  • Exhibitor and Spectator safety is the Number 1 priority. If you see something in any part of the show that doesn’t look safe, please contact me (phone # in list below) or Marlon as quickly as possible.
    • For safety reasons, exhibitors cannot move their cars until 3:00pm. An exit team will escort cars out that have an emergency and must leave. This team will also guide cars out of the parking lot starting at 3:00pm.
    • Stand-alone signs other items are not allowed.
    • BBQ’s or other heating devices are definitely not allowed.
  • Exhibitors and Spectators are not authorized to sell or promote items. Although car shows commonly allow flyers to be placed in or on show cars, FFF does not allow it. I personally do not like people putting stuff in or on my car.
  • Saturday morning - 10:30am, we stuff appx 20 flyers per each of the 1,800 goody bags. Bag stuffing needs all the help it can get so please be sure to be there by 10:30. Tell the Knott’s gate personal that you are working with the Ford Car Show and they’ll let you park for free.
  • Sunday morning 5:45am, our club is meeting in the main grassy area at 5:45am.
    • The President of the council will kickoff a volunteer meeting at 6:00am.
    • Donuts and coffee will be available, but if you're quick. There are a over 200 hungry volunteers
    • Your name will be on a list of volunteers and you will receive a special wrist band. After passing through the gate, park your car in your designated area (we get first choice of parking in our area).
    • Our club has always done a great job parking, but others have been noted for leaving their parking duties early. This year, the council noted that lunch wrist bands will be taken away from volunteers that abuse the 7:00 – 10:00am parking privileges.
    • WARNING - You must be in the parking area by 6:00am or you will have to park your car in the Sears parking lot across the street and walk in. It’s a hassle to get your car in at 7:00am with the exhibitors so DO NOT BE LATE! This is a strict rule and they will not let you in the gate after 6:00am.
  • Sunday, our Club Booth needs you from 10:00am - 3:00pm - We need more volunteers to sit in the shade in the club booth!
    • We have asked the DJ to encourage Exhibitors and Spectators to visit the club booths several times an hour, which should stimulate some traffic
    • Kathy and Tim have volunteered to sit in the shade at the booth (smart move ). Don't make them sit there for long. Even if you can only man the booth for a short time, it's better than visitors seeing our banner in an empty booth. Other clubs have lots of activity, we should do the same!
    • I’m working with Marlon on what we will handout to visitors.
    • We will setup and take-down the club banner, etc. before and after the show. Please be prepared to assist.
    • The booth needs to be occupied from 10:00am to 3:00pm
  • Oh ya… you are required to enjoy the show! Let’s have some fun!!
