On July 9th, several hundred GearHeads gathered at the Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA to celebrate National Collector Car Appreciation Day.
This was an all day event that started with a heart warming, most appropriate song... The Star Spangled Banner! How much more American can you get than that?
The West Coast GearHeads crew setup camp for this festive event taking pictures and chatting with lots of GearHead members that dropped-by the booth. We had a great view of the two main parking lots that homed 280+ cars.
Just behind our booth in a nice shady area was Ventura County's own KTVA AM1520's "Horsepower for an Hour" Radio Talk Show with Donny and Spence broadcasting live. You can catch this show from 1:00 - 2:00pm PT every Saturday on AM1520 or simulcast via the Internet at http://www.HorsepowerForAnHour.com
Straight across from us, on the other side of the lot was the event stage announcing all the excitement for the day.
Lining the outer edges of the parking lot were vendor exhibits and food booths. Vendors provided demonstrations of their products, no swap meet sales here folks.
Stay-tuned for tons more pictures of the cars that were on display and special photos of Dedria Brunett, Miss Teen California International 2010 with a few select cars!

Kudos to the event organizing team for making sure there was plenty of water available.
