The Mustang's a project? Shoot, looks good to me as it sits now! What are your plans for the Mustang?

Has a cheap Carcoa paint job on it...Took the vinyl top off because the moisture got under neath it and found several rust through holes....Took it to Star Body and Paint in Oxnard and they fixed it up.....Will have it repainted to original color which is Gulfstream Aqua....Like to put a front disc brake kit on it and change the wheels also.....Just need that thing called money......

What does GSL-SE stand for?

Glenn: The house is my parent's ......Parked the RX-7 there for awhile........GSL-SE is the top of line model back in 1985.......You had S model, then GS, then GSL, and finally GSL-SE....This model came with a fuel injected Rotary and 4 wheel disk brakes and limited slip rear end....Mazda only made the GSL-SE for two years, 1984 and 1985......Kinda rare and ours have only 73K on it.....Has cloth interior and both glass sunroof and regular sunroof.....I prefer the cloth interior....Go to sevenstock.org and check the pictures from past events........Its the biggest gather of rotary powered cars and trucks........

The GSL-SE is the best of two worlds........All 79-85 RX-7 came with a 12 A Rotary engine which was carb equipped....The GSL-SE came with a 13B Rotary engine and when the RX-7 was redesigned in 86, it came with the 13 B Rotary engine......A good condition low mileage or rebuilt engine GSL-SE usually go for 5k, but with the current market they have dropped a little....You can find a cheap 79-85 RX-7 for under 1,000, but I'm pretty sure the engine will need a rebuild or water seals......The Rotary engine is very sensitive to over heating which causes the water seals to go out....Also generates a lot of heat for such a small engine.....Fun cars, just don't get to drive it much......
