Impala SS drivers seat covers and seat foam

I finally got around to swapping out the leathers on the Impala SS. About 4 years ago
I bought a upper and lower leather and more recently I got a bottom seat foam. In the
process I found out that the bottom seat foam wasnt an Impala foam, but a close one
to it. It didnt have the proper attachment for the forward seam. I rigged up as best
I could, but its not pulling the seam into the crack well enough. Its good enough for
now, but I need to get it tighter. At least its back together, cant drive it with just a
    metal skeleton down below. ops:

Are you going to have to get an Impala seat foam to do it right or is there something you can do with the one you have? Will cutting the foam work?

I would have a better chance of finding a NOS Avanti seat, Impala SS seat
foams went the way of the doe doe bird. They were obsolete within a few
years of the end of production ... figure prior to 2000. Problem is the stock
foam was too soft, and the average Impala buyer was overweight. Put them
together and you get a flattened bottom seat foam. I am guessing that the
one I have is from a Caddy, its listed as a 1998 production.

I need to pull the seam tighter, I tried a rod under some cloth with the clips
through the fiber rod in the seat cover, but its too loose.

Impala SS foam on the left, unkown foam on the right.

Nope. No aftermarket foam. Technically thats what I got, its from a supplier
of Impala SS parts, its just not an actual Impala seat foam.
