Subject: Wheel Alignment's..............
Hello Everyone, In this brief time I am going to take a shot of educating you on Wheel Alignments.
At my shop I specialize in Mustangs & Fords Begining of time to present, BUT I do alignments on all makes
and models of cars and trucks and lowering & lifting & heavy duty sway bars, traction master bars Etc...
I do not show off by giving you computerized lazer light show or begin by telling you I do not have the
software to be able to do a wheel alignment on you car, computers are great for checking e-mail and serching
websites, As far as wheel alignments computers have no business being involed, The spec ranges on your print
out can be altered to apear that an alignment has been performed when nothing was ever done.
Anyone that tells you that the alignment on your car or truck can be done in 20 or 30 minutes, Turn around and
get back in your car and find someone else! a basic alignment takes at least an hour to do correctly, I admit I
make it look easy, But I have been doing suspension and alignment for over 35 years now, I was welding when I was 5 years old and I am 49 going on 50 now, Geeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, o'well.
Here it is, When I do an alignment, FIRST I Test Drive the Vehicle, then I drive it on the rack and Check tire wear and then then tire pressure if the tires are in good enough condition to complete a good alignment, Then I check the camber and caster and the toe to see where everything is. Now part of doing a wheel alignment is also making sure that with every adjustment the vehicle is driven to feel the changes that have been made, also when the person is done with your alignment, for god sakes, I hope the steering wheel is centered when driving down the street, this is all part of the alignment, you ask why? Well our roads suck, when you hit a pothole or something in the road and it jerks the wheel pretty hard and you wonder GEEEEEZZZZ did I bend something? Well the tatle tale is if the steering wheel is still center chances are everything is still good, but you should also pay attention to see if The vehicle pulls or are the tires squeeling?
In Closing I manufacture my own classic Mustang & Ford Suspension, It's Called Fly-Ford Blue Printed Suspension, It looks stock until you get a look at it, there is Zero friction and smooth transition over bumps, and it removes 99.9% of bump steer in your classic Mustang or Ford!

Foot Notes:
*All of the settings above are basic alignment starting points, no 2 cars are made alike as well as some have been
in accidents over the years, the reason for the ½ degree split in the caster is to correct for road crowning for
water run off on most streets and is also a basic starting point some require more or less caster splits in the alignment.
*On 1964 ½ to 1970 you will notice there are Power Steering & Manual Steering basic caster settings, Manual Steering
Cars require less caster for easier steering & Power Steering cars need more caster for stability.
*On all 1979 to 2004 Mustangs, Aftermarket camber/caster plates can help you to increase your settings easier.
*On all 2005 to 2010 Mustangs, There are camber/caster plates OR camber bolt kits available to increase your settings.
* Heavy Duty Front & Rear Sway Bars Are A Great Handling Gain
* Lowering Coil Springs Are A Major Plus To Handling As Well.
* I suggest Maximum Motorsports Camber/Caster Plates For All 1979 to Present Mustangs!
