Musical Road in the Antelope Valley

What's a Musical Road you say? If you remember, Honda Civic engineers made one for a TV commercial. It's ridges designed into the roadway so when you drive over them, it creates music. Cool, huh? Here is where to find one in Southern California.

Take the Antelope Valley freeway (Route 14), exit at Avenue G, and proceed west. Stay in the far left lane at 55mph to encounter music between 30th and 40th Street West.

I vote we put together a cruise to go do this!

Believe it or not, it actually works!

I went out and tried it, and you can't help but to keep going around and around.

It seems to work better with the smaller diameter tires of compact cars, but I've done it in a large 4X4 truck and you can clearly hear it as well. Just not as "crisp".

It's a silly thing, but definately worth a little drive out of the way to experience.

I vote no. That commercial made me want to beat all those Civic cheerleaders with a pipe.
