Got a couple of spray guns for my air compressor...

So, I just picked-up a couple spray nozzles for my air compressor to help blow-out some dirt in some hard to get to spots. One of the sprayers has a suction hose that goes into a bottle with water, solvent, etc. to be used as a high pressure sprayer. Has anyone used one of these? Kevin mentioned he saw it used on an auto show on cable and it did a great job cleaning an engine.

I'm not a fan of spraying something all over the engine so, I'm going to experiment with this to see how it does. Has anyone use anything similar? Got any tips?

Something else I saw, while at Harbor Freight was a portable sand blaster, which is a spray gun with a tank on top that you fill with sand. Anyone use that?

Rather than going straight to solvent, I started to water. The result is mixed. Although it did a great job cleaning dirt, oil, etc. out of difficult to reach areas, it did not cliean-up aluminum brackets the way I had hoped. Overly anxious, I experimented with parts on the car dried the area. A few GearHeads I spoke with about this blow-gun didn't know about the method. Over the next week, I'll take pics of the blow-gun and the process of cleaning using a couple different solvents, prep, fluid to air ration, etc.
I should practice with Julie's car first

Maybe mix in some Simple Green with the water.

I was thinking the same but, I'd probably have to rinse it off... not sure if it leaves a film, I'll experiment. Actually, solvent would probably have to be rinsed too. I don't really have wet or loose grease but, I do have some aluminum that is soiled and didn't come clean with a pressure water spray. If Simple Green or other solvent doesn't do the trick, I'll probably have to take the part off and sand blast it with the sand blaster attachment.
