Full length frame connectors? That is the question...

Is there a significant difference by installing full-length frame connectors on a street car over the shorter length.
    What have you guys done?
    What's the advantage of either?

I had full lengths on my old fox and they made a huge difference. I would definitely recommend them for your car seeing as how it's high powered and the same basic chassis as the fox. It made it much more solid in the corners and even in a straight line. It really makes the suspension do all the work and removes the chassis deflection from the equation.

The shorter length connectors also remove chassis deflection. Do you know if there is a significant difference between the short-length and full-length connectors?

Yes there is a difference and I should have beaten you when I met you for not having done it.

I had Kenny Brown 'short' subframes on my 98, and it felt solid. Going to the MM Full Lengths on the 03 made a huge difference. The newer ones are even stiffer due to thicker tubing and reinforcement.

The only thing better is the Griggs Through the Floor pieces, but those require hacking up the floorpan.

Do the MM Full Lengths fo SHO.

I run the MM FLSFC's on the fobra and the notch.

the difference is quite significant, I've heard it's even larger of a difference on cars with IRS, as the IRS can work a lot better without it's mounting points moving.

I'm looking at the power coated FLSFCs.

I have Maximum Motorsports Full Length sub frames on my GT. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference over stock.

get the plain ones, the powder coating has to be stripped/ground off wherever they are welded (a LOT of places on the full lengths).

I got the plain ones on mine and just painted them primer undercoat ford gray to match the bottom of the car so they don't stand out...

    I'll bet you do
I can feel my car twist and bend so, I plan to order mine in the next couple of days. I was hoping to have Jackie bring them home on Spring Break since Cal Poly is in the same town as MMS but, someone hit the Explorer we can't drive it... I'm surprised that Julie hasn't posted pics yet lol.

Jackie's back is bugging her a bit. We're hoping it's just tight muscles. We'll start another thread on the Explorer repair
