Nice! Looking forward to seeing more on this project!

Always a good time to notice parts that should be replaced while you're working on a Project:

Will be replacing Rubber Exhaust Hangers while I'm down here, a few look fairly worn.

Unbolting Driveshaft - Zip ties in place to keep it in the tunnel. This will be replaced with a PST Carbon Fiber DS.

Shocks unbolted, Calipers zip tied out of the way.

Exhaust, parking brake cables, brake calipers, ABS sensors, shocks all removed and or/out of the way.

    Ready to drop the IRS.

I just saw that Post, I'm in Vegas next weekend so I'm going to lose a good chunk of time.

While I have it apart I'm considering slapping a T2R in there, I don't want to have to pull it again anytime soon.

Lost an afternoon yesterday as my normal jack did not have enough reach for the current height of the IRS, and I wasn't convinced it would be very stable with one person dropping it.

Off to Harbor Freight I went today with 20% off coupon in hand. I picked up an 800lb low profile transmission jack:

    Trans jack in place.

    Front Subframe Bolts removed.

Removing Rear Subframe Bolts (these are low profile bolts, OEM will look different)

Going down. (Love in an Elevator?)

    Down we go.

I used to love her, but I had to kill her...

Prothane Urethane Subframe Bushings have been in place for a few years. They looked a little sloppy on the outside, a little sloppier inside.

Due to the shoulder of the Urethane Bushings, the Removal Tool did not fit on the flange properly.

The flanged side is on the inside of each mount. The bushings pull from the outside to the inside via the Removal Tool.

Some box knifing and a few fresh blades later, the shoulder of the Bushings was trimmed enough to fit the Tool.

    FEELS GOOD MAN.

    Going, going.

    Gone. Yeck.

Cruddy. These will be hit with a wire wheel tomorrow in preparation for the new UHMW bushings.

Those old bushings have seen better days. Off to the dump.

You should have put I wasted a few hours of Runs2rch's life because my cute Playskool jack wouldn't reach. Hahahaha

Update: Finished everything in the rear end last week and got it aligned. It feels so much better than the OEM setup.

Some noise was eliminated, most likely due to the stiffer cradle mounts and larger front bolts. The rear feels VERY smooth and tight even under normal street driving. Looking forward to getting a chance to push it a little harder, but so far it sticks a lot better in the twisties.

I've spent some time behind the wheel after finishing this kit up last month.

So far it feels like a brand new car.

The rear actually feels smoother and quieter, even just tooling around town. The ride is actually fairly comfortable now. Can't get it to hop at all, and I got it sideways all day long over the weekend. It feels like it sticks better in the corners, even on these 300 treadwear street tires I'm currently using.

The on/off throttle clunk also sounds like it's gone. All I have now is a slight thud taking off in 1st, depending on how I work the clutch. Most of the time I don't. It's a Spec3+ so it can be a bit grabby. Much quieter all around the driveline in general.

I already had the MM aluminum diff bushings, and am on 375/575 coil overs.
